This department was established during the Academic year 2007.The Department has excellent infrastructure available for use by the students. It is the endeavor of the management to periodically migrate to the latest software and hardware to keep pace with the ever changing needs of the industry, so that our students come out with knowledge of latest technology in both software and hardware.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

Demonstrate technical competence with analytical and critical thinking to understand and meet the diversified requirements of industry, academia and research.

Exhibit technical leadership, team skills and entrepreneurship skills to provide business solutions to real world problems.

Work in multi-disciplinary industries with social and environmental responsibility, work ethics and adaptability to address complex engineering and social problems

Programme Outcomes (POs)

Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyse complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Conduct Investigations of Complex Problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern Tool Usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modelling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.

Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

Individual and team work: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams, and in multidisciplinary settings.

Computer Society of India (CSI) is the largest body of computer professionals in India. It was started on 6 March 1965 by a few computer professionals and has now grown to be the national body representing computer professionals.

Infosys Campus Connect

Infosys Campus Connect

Launched by Infosys in May 2004, CC is a unique academia-industry initiative to “architect the education experience”. Our goal is to build a sustainable partnership with engineering education institutions in India and abroad for mutual benefit; producing “industry ready” recruits.

Foundation Programme

Foundation Program (FP) is the training program designed for entry level students who on completion will be better prepared to work on real-life customer projects. Enabling partner colleges to deliver FP is the heart of this initiative. The training programs will be administered at the Campus Connect partner colleges. These programs enhance the IT industry specific basic knowledge and skills of the students of engineering colleges.

By understanding the importance of this initiative, The kavery Engineering College has signed an MOU with Infosys and became an advanced partnering college since 2012.

Till now “The kavery Engineering College” have rolled out 14 batches in FP.

Course Content:

Students can get training which is provided in the Infosys during training period

It builds team work, self learning, leadership qualities, communication skills, and technical skills.

Students can implements own ideas under this program by doing a project.

Students of any stream can make themselves suitable for working in IT sector.

It provides a way to earning an industry oriented certified course.


Students of 3rd and final B.E/B.Tech of all branches are eligible.
