About Us

The Kavery Engineering College has formed various cells to create an active flow of information and resources to transform creative ideas into reality by creating an ecosystem of innovation.

INNOVATION ECO SYSTEM
Institution Innovation Council (IIC)

The institute established Institute Innovation Council in association with MHRD Government of India. The primary aim of lnstitution Innovation Cell is to encourage, inspire and nurture young students by supporting them to work with new ideas while they are in formative years. The IIC carries out a number of activities to promote innovation within the institution. These activities include facilitating research projects and programs, incubating startups, mentoring entrepreneurs, filing Intellectual Property Rights, conducting workshops and seminars, and developing policies and guidelines to support innovation. The IIC also works with external partners to develop collaborative initiatives and build a network of innovators.

IIC program Activities

Educate students about innovation and enterprise.

Share the experience of employees in their entrepreneurial careers with students.

Provide motivation for students to share their own ideas.

Encourage students to put their thoughts about entrepreneurship into action.

Establish an entrepreneurial spirit amongst students.

Intellectual Property Right (IPR) Cell

The intellectual property cell has provided a platform to share and discuss the latest developments and applications with practical exposure and assist faculty members, students and academic researchers in the patent filing process. IPR Cell promotes knowledge of intellectual property rights through seminars and workshops for professors and students.

Objectives

Make professors and students aware of information, guidance and facilities for IPR protection.

Obtain necessary permissions from competent authorities while completing patents and other IPRs such as copyright and design registration, etc. via IPR Cell.

Develop terms and conditions for students to commercialize patented technologies.

To create awareness on the importance of Intellectual Property Rights.

Entrepreneurship development Cell (EDC)

The Cell started with the purpose of promoting and supporting the innovations of students from ideation to the creation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem The cell provides the necessary facilities and technology assistance so that students can build their innovative startups and projects by organizing a variety of seminars, guest lectures, and workshops. The cell held an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp (EAC) to encourage entrepreneurship after receiving a grant of Rs.20, 000 from EDII, Ahmedabad.

Objectives

Providing information, guidance, and encouragement to aspiring entrepreneurs.

Identifying and motivating students will help them develop into self-reliant, knowledgeable technologists.

Promoting creative and entrepreneurial thinking in students through project-based learning.

Creating a spirit of entrepreneurship throughout the organization.

Research and Development (R&D) Cell

The Center for Research and Development at The kavery engineering college is well established and active, and its members come from several disciplines. The institution's laboratories are well-equipped to fulfill the requirements from its students and to encourage them toward research and developmental endeavors. R&D supports research publication of the faculty in peer reviewed, UGC approved journals and conference proceedings. The Tamil State Council of Science and Technology has awarded a total of Rs. 32,000 for three student projects. Various research papers by our faculty members have published in journals which are indexed by the UGC and Web of Science.

Activities

To encourage faculty and students to take part in research and to give assistance with publishing their discoveries.

To motivate faculty members to supervise creative research projects.

To organize and promote training sessions for developing new skills in emerging fields to advance research and innovation.

Institute Industry Interaction Cell (IIIC)

The Cell is taking the initiative to bridge the knowledge gap between the industry sector and the students. The key objective of the IIIC is to give students a forum to meet with industry individuals and learn about the numerous career options that are open to them. The cell organizes diverse learning opportunities for the students through a number of Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) in collaboration with a variety of industries, including industrial visits, seminars, workshops, guest lectures, etc.

Functions

To support each effort of the Department for Industry.

To coordinate with the Industries & Industry Association to find chances for collaboration.

To promote industry experts' involvement in institutional activities.

To facilitate departmental efforts to enhance industry interaction

Centre of Excellence

The Kavery Engineering College's Centers of Excellence provide an excellent atmosphere for the practice, research, and/or teaching of a certain discipline. Research, professional development, training, and outreach are common activities carried out by centre of excellence, which are frequently supported by governments, universities, or commercial entities.

This Center of Excellence (CoE) for additive manufacturing and reverse engineering aims to educate practising engineers from the industry and research sectors as well as engineering students on the fundamentals of additive manufacturing.

The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Center of Excellence has been created to serve as a unit for innovative sustainable research, education, and training in HVAC and related subjects.

Centre for Advanced Concrete Research (CACR) carries out interdisciplinary research in the area of concrete, the most prevalent building material and a crucial component of quickening economic growth.

The Center for Post Harvest in Agriculture adds value to agricultural commodities by developing new techniques for enhancing food safety, extending shelf life, and preserving nutrients that are beneficial to health.

The Center for Embedded Systems (CES) conducts research on the technologies that enable sensing, networking, and computation in commonplace objects.

The goal of the Centre of Excellence for IoT is to research, investigate, build, and study self-organized, scalable, and reliable networks and systems that will enable ubiquitous computing and promote inclusive, sustainable, and compassionate living environments.

The Center for Cyber Security's objectives are to provide training to counter cyberthreats, enhance student expertise in the various fields of cyber security, and perform multidisciplinary research to provide technical safety nets for important national and international areas.

Centre of excellence in software development can help organize and streamline various production processes between outsourced and local tasks.

Centre for professional development

Professional memberships are intended to assist individuals to advance in their careers and professions professionally. Through a variety of programmes and events planned by the association, Professional Society aims to help students enhance their academic, professional, and personality abilities.

Functions
